About the series:
In my series "Roots," I establish a link between the landscape’s physical reality and what becomes imagined by its viewer. In a fervent exploration of my Taiwanese heritage and family's aboriginal roots, I investigate the dynamics of the Taiwanese landscape through manipulation of perception; expressed through suggested light and vibrant color. Rather than presenting a factual reality, I create an illusion to conjure surreal dimensions of the tropical landscape.
